Today most churches survive
because we meetings short and our conversation superficial. In
other words people keep a polite distance from each other.
Survival isn't enough, the church is meant to help people grow
and be transformed. The care groups create an environment where
this is possible, where people have the opportunity to be real
with one another. These groups harvest an environment where
people actually feel comfortable talking about their lives,
where an anonymous distance is impossible. True transparency is
scary, but in an environment built on love, hope and peace we
are fulfilled. We all strive for more substance in our
