Service
We take Jesus at face value when
he said that we cannot live for ourselves anymore. We must live
for Him and that means we must serve others. (Matthew 20:1-16;
Luke 9:21-27)
We believe
that people learn the most when they give themselves in service
to God. When people put their faith in action they are living a
true faith (James 2). In the spiritual world which is at war the
trenches are the places where people are learning and growing
the most. We believe if we are going to follow Christ it is not
possible to sit on the sidelines, we must serve.
We believe
that in serving we cannot only serve within the four walls of
the church building, but we must serve our community and those
who are in need. Jesus said that when we fail to take care of
the people who are the least in the world we fail to show love
to Him (Matthew 25:31-46)
